Internal Medicine
Michael Lane DVM DACVIM SAIM
Michael Lane, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM), is a Board-Certified Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist at MedVet Cincinnati, where he serves as the Internal Medicine Department Representative and Residency Program Director. He graduated cum laude from Carson-Newman University, earned his DVM from the University of Tennessee, and completed a rotating internship and internal medicine internship at the Regional Institute for Veterinary Emergencies and Referrals (RIVER) before returning to UT for a three-year internal medicine residency.
Dr. Lane enjoys teaching house officers and general practitioners and focuses on practical, immediately applicable CE. His clinical interests include minimally invasive endourology, autoimmune disease, chronic enteropathies, endocrine disorders, and challenging diabetic cases. Outside the hospital, he enjoys time with his wife Jeanne (a veterinary medical oncologist), their two sons, and their golden retriever, Woody.

Oncology
Craig Clifford DVM, DACVIM Oncology
Dr. Craig Clifford graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine and received an MS in Animal Science/Virology from the University of Delaware. After completing an internship and a medical oncology residency at the University of Pennsylvania, he became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) in 2003. He is a medical oncologist at BluePearl Malvern and was previously the director of BluePearl Science.
He is active in clinical research within a referral setting and serves as an advisory board member with industry and non-profit foundations. He has authored/co-authored over 70 papers and book chapters and is a frequent lecturer at major veterinary meetings in the USA and abroad. Dr. Clifford is a member of the VCA Pet Cancer Care Alliance Committee, has served on many VCS and ACVIM committees, is a member of the Oncology Pathology Working Group, and was an Examiner for the Australian Scientist’s Oncology Specialty Exam.
