Getting There
With a variety of in town parking lots, a pedestrian-friendly downtown and a free in-town transportation options, there truly is no need for a car when you visit Breck. Shuttles like the Epic Mountain Express ( https://www.epicmountainexpress.com/ )can take you from the airport directly to the door of wherever you’re staying in town. Many places are located within easy walking distance of the ski area and Main Street, but if you’re a little further away or just want to give your legs a rest, the Breck FreeRide (note the FREE part!) bus system is a great and convenient way to get around during your stay.
In addition, with the BreckConnect Gondola and ski-to-town trails (or bike-to-town trails in summer!), the connection between mountain and town is seamless, providing additional and convenient ways to go between the ski area and downtown.
DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (DEN)
Denver International Airport (DEN) is located just outside of Denver. The airport is 104 miles east of Breckenridge via I-70. DEN offers over 750 daily flights from 180 destinations, 20 of which are international, and is a nonstop destination for over 21 national and international carriers. Shuttles and car rentals are available from Hertz at the airport. The most utilized route to get to Breckenridge from DEN is to take I-70 to exit 203 in Frisco, CO for CO-9. CO-9 South will take you directly into Breckenridge.
Eagle County Airport (EGE) is 63 miles west of Breckenridge, close to Vail. Non-stop flights are available from: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York/JFK, Phoenix, Toronto and Washington D.C. Shuttles and car rentals are available from Hertz at the airport.

Anesthesia
Kimberly Hassen MA DVM CVA DACVAA
Dr. Hassen was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She earned her DVM from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015. She went on to complete a small animal rotating internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital and a three-year residency in anesthesiology at North Carolina State University. She became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia in 2019. She is also certified in acupuncture.Dr. Hassen has particular interests in locoregional anesthesia and other opioid-sparing pain management techniques. She is extremely passionate about keeping her patients calm, comfortable, and well-fed throughout their hospital stay.Outside of work, Dr. Hassen is working on becoming fluent in French. Her pets include a tuxedo cat named Mr. Sandwiches and two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels – Hammy and Cheezy – who are collectively referred to as The Lunchables.
