About Marie Burneko DVM, DACVS
Dr. Marie iBurneko s an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Marie completed a small animal rotating internship at the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine following graduation from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a one-year surgical internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas and a three-year surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania in 2021. Marie has a specific interest in minimally invasive soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, as well as in the development of surgical educational tools to improve the quality and efficiency of intraoperative and extraoperative resident education.
