About Liz-Valerie Guieu DVM, MSc, DVSc, DACECC, DECVECC
Dr. Liz Guieu is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care at Colorado State University. She obtained her veterinary degree from the University of Liège (Belgium) in 2008. Afterwards, she completed a rotating internship followed by an Emergency and Critical Care fellowship at the Veterinary School of Maisons-Alfort (Paris, France). Dr. Guieu became a Diplomate of the American and European College of Emergency and Critical Care in 2016 after a 3-year residency at the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada). Dr. Guieu has a Master II in Physiology and Pathophysiology and a Doctorate in Veterinary Sciences. Her primary interests include mechanical ventilation, sepsis, vascular access, point-of-care ultrasound and patient care.
