Dr. Jessica Johnson – Dentistry
About Jessica S. Johnson DVM, DAVDC

Dr. Johnson grew up in Southlake, Texas. She graduated with honors from Texas A&M's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She dedicated the first ten years of her career to small animal general practice, where she acquired valuable experience in both companion animal day practice and emergency medicine.
Driven by her passion for dentistry, Dr. Johnson completed a dental residency under Dr. Heidi Lobprise, DVM, DAVDC, in 2020. During her residency, she contributed original research to the Journal of Veterinary Dentistry with the publication titled "Characterization and Classification of Keratinized Odontogenic Cysts in 29 Dogs." In 2022, she achieved the status of Board Certified Veterinary Dentist through the American Veterinary Dental College.
Dr. Johnson is dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to pets in North Texas. She emphasizes the importance of evaluating each case individually, recognizing that many patients may face multiple health challenges yet can still safely undergo necessary procedures to relieve pain and infection. Her approach involves thoroughly assessing the health of her patients and collaborating with pet owners to develop the most effective treatment plans.
A strong advocate for dental education, Dr. Johnson teaches a monthly wet lab designed to help new veterinary graduates build confidence and skills in oral surgery. She also serves on the Training and Support Committee for residents at the American Veterinary Dental College.
