In case of cancellation of guest rooms by a guest responsible for his/her room, later than March 8th, 2026 (30 days prior to the group arrival), full penalty charge for the complete stay will be applied to the credit card that the guest used to make the reservation of the room in the link

Reservations require a deposit equal to one night’s stay. Additional nights will be billed 30 days prior to arrival. Upon check-in, each guest will be required to present a valid credit card. All accounts must be settled in full upon departure.

Round-trip airport transfer included . (PUJ Airport)
Taxis are readily available at the airport.
Guests must email their flight itinerary information to the hotel to confirm the transfer OTIUMUS@OTIUMTOUR.COM.
Take the included shuttle to the resort, 30 minute drive 10 miles. This is the preferred shuttle service that The Paradisus recommends using. There is a fee for this service.
You will reach a security gate and will need to show your passport for entry to the resort.

Behavior

Wailani Sung, MS, PhD, DVM, DACVB, FFCP

Dr. Wailani Sung is a Board certified veterinary behaviorists in the United States. Dr. Sung obtained her Master’s degree and Doctorate in Psychology with a special interest in animal behavior from the University of Georgia. Upon completion of her graduate degrees, Dr. Sung enrolled at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia where she graduated with a doctorate in veterinary medicine. Dr. Sung provides behavior consultations for privately owned pets and provides assessments for Vicious Dangerous Dog cases. She also provides consultations to animal shelters regarding individual shelter pets and evaluations on shelter behavior programs.

Dr. Sung is a co-author of the book, “From Fearful to Fear Free”, in which she collaborated with America’s veterinarian Dr. Marty Becker, veterinary colleague Dr. Lisa Radosta, and renown trainer, Mikkel Becker. Dr. Sung also co-authored a chapter in “Decoding your Cat”. Dr. Sung has been a contributor to the websites, PetCoach, PetMD and Reader's Digest. Dr. Sung has written chapters for the following veterinary textbooks: Behavior of Exotic Pets; Blackwell's Five-Minute Veterinary Consult Clinical Companion: Canine and Feline Behavior, 2nd Edition; Blackwell’s Five-Minute Veterinary Consult: Canine and Feline: 7th edition; Animal Behavior for Shelter Veterinarian and Staff, 2nd edition; Clinical Handbook of Feline Behavior Medicine. Dr. Sung was interviewed on the documentary, Cat Tales by NOVA: https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/video/cat-tales/ and on the Netflix documentary, Inside the Mind of a Cat.

Surgery

Jennifer Huck, DVM, DACVS

Dr. Jennifer Huck is a 2006 graduate of the The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  She completed a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship at Michigan State University and then went on to do a post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania PennHIP Research Center. In 2008, Dr. Huck started a residency in small animal surgery at Louisiana State University and completed the residency at Iowa State University in 2011.

Dr. Huck became an ACVS diplomate in 2012. After three years of clinical private practice at a specialty practice in New York City, she joined the faculty at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Small Animal Surgery.  At Ross, she was able to further enhance a passion for teaching, surgery, and research working closely with colleagues to help develop a rigorous clinical and surgical skills training program.  In 2017, she returned to the University of Pennsylvania where she now serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Small Animal Surgery.

Her clinical and research interests focus on surgical oncology, microvascular surgery, surgical diseases of the upper airway, as well as the use and efficacy of models in surgical training.
